Read unedited feedback from travelers who experienced our open-top buses, Bwindi gorilla safaris & Nile tours.
“Breezy, safe and breathtaking views from the top deck!”
“Riding the open-top red double-decker bus was easily the highlight of our first weekend in Kampala. Sitting upstairs lets you glide completely above the bustling traffic with a refreshing breeze and unobstructed 360-degree photography angles. Our guide Emma was hilarious and deeply knowledgeable—giving us vivid history at Mengo Palace and the Buganda royal grounds. The stop at the Gaddafi Mosque minaret gave us an unbelievable view over all seven hills. Clean bus, chilled bottled water, and very friendly crew. A must-do as your first activity in Uganda!”
“Once-in-a-lifetime silverback encounter — flawless logistics”
“Booking a gorilla safari from overseas can feel daunting, but Promote Uganda Safaris handled everything with consummate professionalism. Our permits were secured well in advance, the 4x4 safari Land Cruiser was immaculate, and our driver-guide Ronald was a gem—patient, cautious on mountain passes, and immensely knowledgeable about local fauna. Standing just seven meters from the massive silverback in Bwindi’s mist was an emotional experience I will never forget. Lodge arrangements were superb and pickup from ENN Hotel was seamless.”
“Spectacular wildlife sightings & thunderous falls!”
“Our 4-day safari to Murchison Falls surpassed all expectations. The boat cruise up the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the roaring falls was mesmerizing—we counted dozens of elephant herds drinking at the banks, hippos everywhere, and massive Nile crocodiles. The morning game drives delivered lions, Rothschild giraffes, and Jackson's hartebeest. Our guide Patrick had hawk-like vision spotting animals in the bush. Promote Uganda ensured dietary needs were met at every lodge. Exceptional value and world-class hospitality.”
“Fascinating cultural deep-dive with lovely guides”
“We were picked up right on time from ENN Business Hotel. Touring the Bahá'í House of Worship with its peaceful hilltop gardens was so calming, and the Buganda cultural tour at the Kabaka's Palace gave us profound context on Uganda's royal heritage and history. We also stopped at the craft market on Buganda Road where the team helped us bargain fairly for authentic wood carvings and hand-woven baskets. Felt completely safe, respected, and looked after the whole afternoon.”
“Standing at the Source of the Nile was truly magical”
“Took the day excursion to Jinja with Promote Uganda. The traditional wooden motorized boat trip out to the exact bubbling spot where Lake Victoria empties into the River Nile was iconic. We spotted pied kingfishers, cormorants, and monitor lizards basking on the rocks. On the return journey, we stopped in Mabira Forest for a guided nature canopy walk under ancient mahogany trees. The air-conditioned coaster bus was comfortable and our driver made the Jinja road journey relaxed and smooth. Top marks to the Promote Uganda crew!”
“Tree-climbing lions and brilliant Kazinga Channel cruise”
“We booked our 5-day safari after seeing Promote Uganda’s double-decker bus in the city. The entire team was responsive on WhatsApp from our very first inquiry, answering every logistical question quickly. The boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel offered the highest concentration of hippos we've ever seen, and we actually spotted the famous tree-climbing lions resting in the fig trees of Ishasha! Our guide Brian went above and beyond every single day. Uganda is truly the Pearl of Africa.”
